Karachi – Synergy Advertising one of the fastest growing advertising agencies in the country has won a Silver Award in the recently held 38th Annual ABBY AWARDS 2004 in Mumbai, India. Synergy Advertising won the award in the Best of Pakistan Category, for a media campaign for its client Zak Pak (Pvt) Ltd (Silk Soap). Synergy Advertising also received nominations for Bank Alfalah’s Corporate TVC and Bank Alfalah Annual Growth Advertisement. The only other winner from Pakistan was JWT, which won the award for the best of Pakistan Advertising (TV/ Cinema Single Ad) for Unilever’s Lux brand.
The ABBY Awards are awarded for Creative Excellence in the field of advertising and are traditionally held to honour Indian creative talent annually in the world of advertising. This year the event’s scope was widened to include campaigns from Pakistan. Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as well. The Advertising Club, Bombay, the largest advertising professional association in the world organized this prestigious award. It comprises of 2,000 members from the world of advertising, media and marketing. The awards are decided by a panel of judges including some of the best innovative minds of Indian advertising. With more then 2,400 entries this year, the ABBYs have emerged as the biggest national award for recognizing creative efforts in advertising. The 17 categories eligible for awards in print and broadcast advertising include awards for the campaign of the year, best
continuing campaign of the year and creative advertising agency of the year.
